JUST CABINETS INC. is proud of its employees efforts that have earned them the honor of the KCMA certification seal.  Our hand crafted cabinetry has met the rigorous standards set by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

  • Cabinet shelves and bottoms are loaded at 15 pounds per square foot to ensure no signs of joint separation or any failure in the cabinetry or mounting system.
  • Mounted cabinet shelves are loaded to ensure the cabinetry will accept the net loading capacity to meet the ANSI A 161.1-1995 requirements.
  • A load is applied, taking four mintues to reach 250 pounds, to ensure no visible joint failure on exposed face of the cabinet.
  • A three-pound steel ball is dropped from six inches onto shelves, cabinet bottoms and drawer bottoms to ensure against joint separation or failure in any part of the cabinet or mounting system.
  • An impact test using a ten-pound sand bag is dropped to the center of a cabinet door checking against door damage, hardware or hardware connections.
  • Cabinet doors are weighted with 65 pounds and then opened and closed ten times to ensure the strength of the doors and hinges.
  • Doors are opened and closed 25,000 cycles to test their durability.
  • Drawers and drawer mechanisms are tested by loading 15 pounds per square foot into the drawers and then opening and closing them 25,000 times to ensure proper operation.
  • Drawer fronts are tested by dropping a three-pound steel ball against the drawer assembly ten times to ensure durability.
  • Cabinetry finishes are tested with standard exposure to substances typically found in kitchen and bath areas, such as vinegar, lemon, orange and grape juice, olive oil, 100 proof alcohol, and more.
  • Finishes are given a "Hot Box" test of up to 120 degrees Farenheit and a "Cold Box" test down to -5 degrees Farenheit.
  • Finishes are also given a 24-hour test using soap and water.
